The musician had a net worth of $5 million at the time of his death, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
He amassed some of that fortune as the lead vocalist for The Raspberries, a 1970s pop band. He formed the band with fellow Clevelanders Wally Bryson, David Smalley, and Jim Bonfanti.
Some of the band’s hits were “Go All The Way,” “I Wanna Be With You,” and “Let’s Pretend.” The band eventually broke up in 1975, though the original members went on a reunion tour in 2005.
He went on to have a successful solo career as well. His most notable song is “All By Myself,” which reached the top 10 on the Billboard hot 100 chart.  His song “Hungry Eyes” also peaked on the Billboard charts.
